More than three decades of moving clients forward.

Paceline traces its roots to October 1992, when two established Sioux Falls accounting practices — Jerald B. Davis Co. and Thurman, Carlon & Millar — joined forces.

Over the following decades the firm became known by several names, including Thurman, Comes, Foley & Co., LLP. Partners retired, new leaders emerged, and the services clients needed continued to evolve. Through every transition the heart of the practice remained the same.

In 2022 the firm entered its next chapter as Paceline Accounting Group. Rather than change the name with every partnership transition, its leaders chose a name designed to endure — a paceline represents collaboration and leadership, the belief that people make greater progress when they take turns guiding the way forward.
